As senior attorney at Heiden Associates, Mr. Heiden practices in the
areas of product liability, consumer safety, health care and antitrust.
He has served as consultant to law firms, trade associations and insurance
companies on products liability cases and liability prevention strategies
around the country.
In addition to his product safety work, Mr. Heiden has co-authored a
consumer impact study of proposed changes in specific aspects of the health care system and
has assisted in market structure and damages analyses in antitrust litigation.
He is also the author of articles on the post-sale duty to warn and firearms
manufacturer recalls.
Stephen Heiden is a graduate of the University of Virginia, George Mason
University School of Law, and is a member of the Virginia bar.

Mr. McGonegal has served as the principal analyst on many of Heiden Associates'
studies on environmental, health and product safety issues for law firms,
trade associations, and corporations. He has developed damages assessments
in cases involving corporate acquisitions, franchise agreements, real
estate partnerships, and contracts. Mr. McGonegal has testified before
the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Occupational Safety
and Health Administration (OSHA).
He is the primary author of reports that have been submitted to EPA,
OSHA, the Consumer Product Safety Commission, and the California Air Resources
Board.
Prior to joining Heiden Associates, Mr. McGonegal served as a consultant
and analyst on a number of projects involving economic analysis, database
development and programming, and litigation support.
Mr. McGonegal completed all requirements for the Ph.D. candidacy in Economics
from University of Maryland, specializing in environmental and natural
resource economics, public finance, and public policy analysis. While
at Maryland, he taught intermediate macroeconomic and microeconomic theory.
His undergraduate degree in Political Science is from Duke University,
where he graduated cum laude.
